As the old kitchen joke goes, if in doubt put bacon on it. We found that when it comes to that beloved taste there are more ways to enjoy it than as an essential part of a full Irish breakfast or in that culinary relic the jumbo breakfast roll. In fact there is very little that baconeers won’t try at least once..

Although this is still a concept there is much to recommend it. It fits right nicely into the trend of the last few years for small leaves, cress, edible flowers etc.

Sheep in a field of snow is a striking image at the best of times but Texel sheep are special. I know this because Sarah told me and took a picture to prove it. The question is now can I ever look a lamb chop or bowl of Irish stew in the face again.
