As I mentioned recently a large contingent of Applegreenies made their way to New York city to take part in the world famous NY city marathon.
Our picture shows marathon man Adrian Giffney chairman of the Applegreen Charitable fund who despite massive problems with a damaged knee still soldiered on and finished the race to the benefit of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin.
A huge congratulatory pat on the back to Adrian and his colleagues who include Karl Fitzgerald who finished as third best Irishman with a brilliant time of 2.55 Petrogas director Joe Barrett who clocked up a very admirable 4:07.
Other runners were Mantas Ambraziejus 3.36, Keith Ennis 3.52 Daire Nolan 4.23 and Aaron Duggan 4.31. It was a triumph for all concerned and underlines the huge commitment Applegreenies from all corners of the company have to supporting the Applegreen Charitable Fund. Respect!
