If you’ve never been to a pantomime then it’s high time you went. You know how they say that laughter is the best medicine? Well let me tell you if you could bottle the essence of the unbridled laughter, expectant delight and sheer glee which is part and parcel of every Olympia pantomime you would have a serious amount of good will factor on hand.
And isn’t it good will factor that this country thrives on? It should be compulsory for elected representatives of the people to go the panto every year and feel the waves of good will given off by our future citizens. It would be a fitting reminder of why we do what we do and who we do it for. But I fear I may have strayed off the point here which is of course the wonderful Olympia panto. It features the irrepressible Linda Martin, Simon Delaney and I heard Louis Walsh’s latest boy-band are also on hand. It starts 17th of December and runs till 4th Jan.
Buy a brace of tickets, take the family, embrace the sheer fun of it all and give your immune system a well needed boost to help it deal with the festivities ahead.
