Iceland's power art people pylons

Iceland's power art people pylons

If you’ve ever found yourself looking at a wonderful view spoiled by power pylons, or at some time thought there must be a better way to run power cables across green fields, hill and dale, then you are going to love what architects Choi and Shine are proposing to do in Iceland. It’s really not rocket science. Make structures that will enhance the countryside as they carry power cables across the countryside. Once again pointing toward a future where art and engineering will combine to even greater effect. Of course some people won’t like them, but let’s face it no-one loves regular pylons.

Jin Choi and Thomas Shine the people behind the company are known for their experimental bent and apply their artistic architectural talents to a lot more than just designing buildings. Their projects to date have ranged from designing books, product design and they have even patented some inventions. We like the way they think.
