Featuring a combination of workshops, online self-directed learning, webinars and guest speakers, the programme is structured to develop and strengthen the commercial acumen and leadership skills required to succeed in your career.

Professional Skills

You’ll complete a range of Professional development courses including a Project Management and Microsoft Excel Diploma.

Commercial Acumen

Within your rotations and attending training workshops you’ll develop your negotiation skills, create and present business cases to senior management and learn critical design thinking.

Effective Leadership

You’ll discover how effective leaders influence others, inspire teams and embed culture through positivity and assertiveness.

Where you’ll fit in

At Applegreen we have two graduate programmes - Retail and Accounting & Finance

Our retail programme is a two year cross functional programme where graduates will have the opportunity to work in functions such as HR, Marketing, Trading, Analytics and more. Graduates will complete a site rotation to gain hands on experience and will have the opportunity for an international placement in their final year.

Our accounting & finance graduate programme is a three-year programme where graduates will have the opportunity to rotate between different finance functions such as Management Accounting, Commercial Finance, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Taxation and Consolidation & Reporting.

As an ACCA Approved Employer, Applegreen graduates are supported to achieve their ACCA qualification through full exam sponsorship, learning support through a chosen tuition provider and a generous study leave policy

Our Head office is based in Park West, Dublin and is divided into Teams; The Retail Operations Ireland Team and The Global Team.

You’ll get the opportunity to work alongside one of our Site Directors to understand how the retail operation works.

Our bespoke “Future Leaders” development programme is custom designed to provide graduates with expert training across the three pillars of self, business, and leadership.

There is a broad range of topics covered such as business case proposal, influencing and leadership, goal setting and time management, negotiations, effective communications, resilience and design thinking.

You are also fully supported to achieve certified diplomas in Microsoft Excel and Project Management and will have full access to a wide library of learning supports via our tailored graduate portal.
