One of the best parts of the programme is the rotational structure. As graduates, we get to explore different areas of the business, which is amazing for figuring out where our strengths and interests lie. This approach gives us a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of the business—something that's been super valuable for initiatives like the Business Challenge.

Since I joined the Applegreen Graduate Programme in September 2022, my professional journey has been nothing short of transformative. The way the programme is structured, with its dynamic rotation framework, has given me incredible insights and hands-on experience across various departments.

One of the things that really stands out for me is the international placement, especially the chance to work at the US head office. This experience has given me a unique view of the US business world and broadened my professional horizons beyond the Irish market. Getting to work in different departments, gaining first-hand retail experience, and immersing myself in a new cultural and business environment has been absolutely amazing.

What stands out to me most about Applegreen is the culture. There is an open-door policy that is actively encouraged, and this fosters a culture of collaboration, transparency, and approachability regardless of your title or team. The exposure to senior leaders and the ability to build relationships and receive guidance from the experienced team around me has significantly increased my confidence as a young professional. I have learnt so much at a fast pace early on and have had opportunities to work on cross-functional projects in small groups and individually for the Commercial Director and Managing Director during my rotations.

The Sports and Social Club regularly organise a wide array of events that bring the teams together and encourages creativity.
